First to clarify the reason I wrote this essay. I have been betting on the net or at physical betting houses for many years. I have discovered, the fixation can take a hold of you and you will not even realize it until you are flat broke. Especially if you are on a winning streak. I have gone through countless thousands of dollars in a very tiny amount of time and still on occasion, I’ll go a bit too far. It appears you are just having a blast until you start to track your defeats and the guilt settles in, and then you continue to tell yourself "I can earn it back" repeatedly. It does not works. Then you feel queasy in your belly and the more you try the faster you lose.
When you notice that you’re ahead, STAY on the UP! When you start to be beaten, do not tell yourself, "well just maybe just one more" and again and again, trust me, this logic RARELY ever functions. Say you are playing on slot games, have a bankroll set aside before starting your play. DO NOT go over that limit, regardless how tempting. If you actually succeed, put that in a different canister. Don’t spend your wins no matter what. As soon as you’ve gone through your primary set limit, call it a day. Head out, whether it is on the internet or at a land based betting house, don’t stick around. Always remember, there will be a different day, a different time.
Remember, betting should be FUN not backbreaking, nauseating work! If you aren’t enjoying yourself, you do not belong there. If youcannot afford the loss, don’t even begin.
